Hotel Arlecchino

We recently stayed at the Arlecchino for one night prior to a cruise. From the day we booked the hotel until checkout, everything went perfectly and we can't say enough nice things about the staff. Shortly after booking, we were contacted about the transfer from Marco Polo airport. When I mentioned we had friends staying in another room, they suggested combining into one van vs two cars saving us 40 euros. (Thanks)! Our driver was friendly and explained a lot during the drive (like how to get to the port the next day, how to navigate the water taxis, etc.). He then helped us with our bags from Piazzale Roma to the hotel. During our stay, we asked the front desk about help getting to the People Mover at Piazza Roma: Perhaps a porter who charges per bag. After we mentioned the number of bags, she proposed another option: The same driver (Roberto) could take all of us directly to the port (instead of the people mover where'd we still have to pay, carry the bags, walk) for only about 20 Euros more. DEAL! Oh, by the way, the hotel is great, not just the people. Clean, comfortable, perfect location. Exactly what you'd expect in Venice. Highly recommend!

Perfect location for a whistle-stop stay in Venice. A couple of minutes walk from Piazza Romale where we arrived by bus from Venice Airport (18 euros return) which made life very easy with luggage. Staff very welcoming and upgraded us to a canal view room as we mentioned it was our anniversary. Also friendly and accommodating us with looking after our bags as we arrived many hours before check in. We were told our room would be made a priority and would be ready in 45 mins - 1 hour (still ahead of check in time) which it was and we were able to freshen up before going out to explore. Room is quite small but this is typical for Venice where real estate is a premium! Very clean and modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend as a base for Venice.

A good base for exploring Venice. We stayed as a family of three with a 10yr old son in Oct 23. Location was a key factor - I wanted to get from the station to the hotel easily and it was only a 5-10min walk with two bridges. I also didn’t want to spend too much considering we’d be spending most of our time walking and eating out. Room was basic but very clean and had everything we needed - the sofa converted into the third bed. From memory, I don’t think there was a kettle in the room though. We paid for breakfasts, these were simple coffee machine and continental buffet affairs, served at the nearby Hotel Olympiad which was only a 30sec walk away. Staff were very friendly, putting up with my poor Italian and speaking English too. There were ACTV water bus stations nearby too - going around Venice and up to Murano/Burano. Definitely recommended as a safe, secure base for people who are planning to explore Venice on foot and/or by water bus.

The location is wonderful with access to many shops and restaurants and views of the canal, however, I wa shocked to find that they had no air conditioning. Yes you read that right. On multiple sites they mention air conditioning on their amenities list. Our room started to get pretty hot so we called the front desk. The gentleman informed us there is no air conditioning in this hotel. There is a nice breeze but we are curious as to how the noise outside our window with the canal view will be affected by our inability to close the windows. I very much would have loved to have given them 5 stars...but in 2023 no ac and inaccurate description? I cant.

The room we booked via booking.com did not match the room we got assigned. Be advised the photos on the internet are not representing the actual rooms of the hotel. After addressing this at the reception they told us it is a misunderstanding. This is very misleading from both the hotel and booking.com Please fix this as the customer is paying for a room which should correspond with the pictures shown on the website!! Totally not OK. Plus: The hotel has the perfect location as the garage is nearby. Therefore you dont have to drag your luggage through all the narrow alleys.
